“Ferrara has its own Film Festival. From May, 31st, to June, 5th, many international actors, experts, fans and celebrities will walk along the streets of our city; and many exhibitions, workshops, and events will be organized.”
FERRARA FILM FESTIVAL – EXHIBITIONS, HOLLYWOOD PREMIERES, PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS: A CULTURAL BRIDGE BETWEEN ITALY AND U.S.A., HERE IN FERRARA
With 355 films from 25 countries from all over the world, the Ferrara Film Festival, an event dedicated to Hollywood-style films, gains an international tone.
The awards of the festival will be denominated GOLDEN DRAGONS, which will recall the legend and mythological figure of the Dragon killed by St. George (the Patron Saint of Ferrara). Each award will be a prestigious sculpture in bronze covered in gold, handmade by Italian artist Maurizio Penna and crafted by sculptor Dino Milani.
Thanks to the precious contribution of the Ferrara Film Commission, art, music, and a 360° show is guaranteed.
“I am very proud of the organization of this Festival – says Maximilian Law, its founder – which comes from a synergy between the Ferrara Film Commission and my film production company in Los Angeles, the “Perpetuus”.
The Festival will host Joe Dante, the famous film director, for the European preview of his last film, “Burying the Ex”, and two full-length films featuring Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover and James Franco.
On May 17th, the national press conference will be held in Rome, at the Sala Cinema ANICA, thanks to the collaboration with the U.S. A. Embassy in Italy, with many international guests: on schedule, the world premiere of “Life on the Line”, starring John Travolta, Sharon Stone and Kate Bosworth. “We are the only Italian festival to work with the U.S.A. Embassy, and this bares witnesses of the great job we carried on during the years”, says Maximilian Law.
